Pinky Bear

Meet Pinky Bear.  This isn't THE Pinky Bear, but this is what Pinky looked like the day our oldest was born and my husband bought it for her.  He's so pink and fluffy!

She's slept with him every night since, and even now and the ripe old age of 7, she still sleeps with him.  He's not really pink anymore, but he is definitely loved.

Crikey, Mate

For my Christmas my mom bought me a cupcake book and the kids haven't put it down since.  They've been plotting and planning all my next baking extravaganzas and before I knew it, it was the twins birthday.

At least they were in agreement.

They wanted this for a birthday treat and since I pretty much try to accommodate birthday treat requests, I agreed.

This monster had to be carried on two separate cardboard cake boards, but he was tons of fun to make!!!

His teeth are pieces of marshmallow and his claws are made from banana runts.  I cut up shortbread cookies for his spikes and used marshmallows and Jr. Mints for his eyes.

Because one is a chocoholic and the other love vanilla, and this guy takes lots of cupcakes, I made both flavors.

The scaling took a while, but like I said, he was fun to make.

The girls loved him so much that I had to do it again for their birthday party a few days later.
